After doing "Naples", has become the subject of Nazi Germany in The Wave. Is it a coincidence or is it one of your favorite subjects?
I have always been very interested in this topic. The questions of whether fascism could happen again, of how the fascist system, of how people can get carried away, have a great interest to me. I guess it has something to do with my own family history. My grandfather was an officer of the Third Reich, a fact with my father and my uncles have had big problems. As a youth I used to wonder how I had behaved in a situation like that. In "Naples", I inquired a response to this question, "How were things then? How the Nazis to deceive the people? "In The Wave, the question is" How could fool us again today? How could it work again today fascism? Is it possible? Could something happen here and now in a normal school? "What was it that fascinated you as the Third Wave experiment to make a movie about it? I remember the first time I read the novel. Ron Jones is delighted with The Wave. What does this mean for you?
Obviously, for us it means much. He is the starting point, the operator of the original experiment. Most of the story is based on their own experiences. I belong to some kind of group is still very important today. Especially now that families fall apart when there are fewer traditional families and great grandparents, uncles and others.
